Do you ever think about the fact that the US has created and legitimized a system of institutionalized inequality by funding schools through property taxes? That basically a child’s education is only as good as the value of the property in their neighborhood. Funny how education is so often viewed as an equalizing factor when there is nothing equal about it.

Sometimes I start typing something out on here, and then I remember who my audience is and decide it isn’t worth it. Intelligent discussion on certain topics isn’t something that I feel will ever happen on certain platforms, including and especially this one, where off base logic and raw emotion somehow overpower rational thinking every single time.

Part of the CTA’s Orange Line on the Southwest Side was shut down this afternoon after a man was run over and killed by a train, authorities said.
