If food stamps worked at Trader Joes and Whole Foods then maybe we’d see different results? I mean I had a friend who used her moms ebt to buy snacks at the bodega and like, that was awesome for me, but her family cant live off of gum and honey buns.

I can’t speak for the rest of the nation, but in Chicago, food stamps do work at Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods as well as a dozen farmers markets. Praise Tendercrisp Jesus I visit them all. Food deserts are finally getting the national attention they deserve, cause a few years back it’d be Flamin Hots and Capri Suns for breakfast.
